  • Greg Atty
    Greg Atty, Environment, Health, and Safety Manager

    Greg made the move to the Hudson Valley a decade ago from a small town in upstate New York. His career has spanned various roles in quality, food safety, and compliance in food and beverage manufacturing, and most recently in medical and adult-use cannabis. In his current role as the Environment, Health & Safety Manager at Milestone Mill, Greg leads the development and implementation of our environmental sustainability initiatives, along with food and workplace safety policies. Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, riding his Harley Davidson, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

    Wood-fired pizza – if that counts as a baked good!

  • Christina Bryant, Office Manager

    As the office manager for Milestone Mill, Christina oversees the daily operations of our Kingston office. Originally from Pennsylvania, Christina lived and worked in New York City for 20 years before recently relocating to Poughkeepsie. During her free time, Christina enjoys going to independent cinemas, filmmaking, puppetry, music and concerts, myths and fairy tales, farmer's markets, herbalism, and exploring local trails.

    Favorite baked good?

    Gluten and dairy-free quick breads are an easy and satisfying baked good. Also, pumpkin zucchini bread!

  • Meagan Cahill, Communications & Marketing Coordinator

    After a brief interlude in New York City, Meagan moved back to her hometown of Kingston
 and is currently in charge of marketing and communications for Milestone Mill. When she’s not running social media or coordinating community events, she loves to travel to places near and far.

    Favorite baked good?

    Nothing beats a good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie with a dash of sea salt

  • Lucy Jones, Assistant Miller

    Lucy works in the flour milling and packing operation to craft high quality products. Originally from Wisconsin, Lucy’s love for hands-on learning and exploring took her all the way to Prince William Sound, Alaska, where she worked as a fish culturist raising salmon at a remote fish hatchery. From there, she made the move to New York, where she worked as a greenhouse manager in vegetable production and hydroponics, eventually finding her way to Milestone Mill.

    Favorite baked good?

    Brownies and carrot cake!

  • Jay Krauer, Miller

    Jay runs the day-to-day operations of the mill to craft high quality flour and other products. Outside of work, you’ll find Jay rock climbing or mountain biking with his son and the not-for-profit mountain bike group, Fats in the Cats. At home, he likes to tap maple syrup in the early spring, tend to his garden, and watch over his flock of about 40 chickens.

  • Luz Markham, Business Manager

    Luz handles contracts and finances for Milestone Mill, but plants are her true passion. She could spend hours in the greenhouse–or out hiking and seeing plants in their natural environment. She also loves cooking, especially with her husband.

  • Jeff Scott, Distribution Manager

    Jeff wears many hats at Milestone Mill, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and making strong coffee for everyone in the office. He and his spouse met as students at the Culinary Institute of America so, when he’s not busy building blanket forts with their two daughters or tending to their chickens, he loves to cook foods from all over the world.

    The best pastry in the world is hands-down the Kouign-Amann

  • Stephen Sorenson
    Stephen Sorenson, Market Coordinator and Production Associate

    As Market Coordinator and Production Associate, you will find Stephen at our farmers markets booths throughout the Hudson Valley. He also plays a key role in supporting our flour milling and packing operations. Prior to joining the Milestone Mill team, Stephen gained valuable experience in various retail managerial roles. Originally from Kingston, NY, Stephen loves to spend his free time knitting, crocheting, writing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.

  • CELESTE YGLESIA, Administrative Coordinator

    As the administrative coordinator, Celeste plays a key role in supporting the organization and efficiency of Milestone Mill operations. She works closely with the team to provide administrative support and ensure things run smoothly.. Before joining the Milestone Mill team, Celeste lived in Seattle, where she interned with various non-profits, completing her bachelor’s degree in environmental science. She recently moved across the country from Seattle to Beacon, NY with her boyfriend and cat and has been enjoying hiking, playing music, and working on her focaccia baking skills.

    Favorite baked good?

    Homemade strawberry shortcake. It's so much better when the biscuits are fresh out of the oven, and everything melts on top.

  • Preston Zubal, Delivery Driver

    A recent transplant from Salt Lake City, Utah, Preston makes deliveries for Milestone Mill in our electric van. He’s also a coffee roaster for Autonomous Coffee, which he runs with his brother. Preston is also a photographer, writer, musician, and film buff.

    Favorite baked good?

    It’s a tie between a Danish or a croissant

Meet the local growers who produce our wheat, barley, rye, corn, and beans.

HUDSON VALLEY FARM HUB

The Hudson Valley Farm Hub is a non-profit center for regenerative agriculture located on 1,600 acres of prime farmland in Hurley, NY. They provide professional farmer training, host and support agricultural research, and serve as an educational resource for advances in food and farming.

HUDSON VALLEY HOPS & GRAINS

Using a biological approach, Hudson Valley Hops and Grains is growing hard red wheat, rye, einkorn, oats, sunflowers, canola, buckwheat, black beans and hops in the town of Ancram, Columbia County, New York. The farm is USDA certified organic by NOFA-NY.  

OECHSNER FARMS

Oechsner Farms is a certified organic grain farm in Newfield, New York. They farm 1,200 acres of corn, winter and spring wheat, buckwheat, rye, soybeans, clover, hay and cover crops throughout Tompkins County in the Finger Lakes. Soil health is one of their top priorities.

MIGLIORELLI FARM

Migliorelli Farm is a family-run fruit and vegetable farm in Northern Dutchess County in New York’s Hudson Valley. Run today by its third and fourth generations, Migliorelli Farm grows more than 130 different varieties of fruits and vegetables and grains, using sustainable farming practices that promote food safety, freshness and flavor, healthy soils, and open space.
